Marine Loading Arms

Emco Wheaton designs and manufactures a wide range of Marine Loading Arms to load and unload almost any liquid and compressed gas product from river barges, ships and ocean-going super tankers. Pantograph balanced mechanical link technology provides the stability and strength for this most demanding task.

Emco Wheaton B0028 - Marine Loading Arm

Our B0028 Marine Loading Arm is designed especially to meet the needs of barge transfer and river boat installations with marginal tidal variation.

The B0028 has a self-supporting design and is counterweight balanced with separated yet directly linked counterweights for inboard and outboard arm, allowing easy, manual operation.

The loading arm provides ease of handling in all operational, manoeuvring and maintenance positions, making it an economic alternative to hose loading installations i.e. there is no need for a crane and it requires only minimum manpower.

Further advantages are provided by high safety standards, reliability and low maintenance cost.

Additional equipment is available.

Emco Wheaton B0030 - Marine Loading Arm

Our B0030 Marine Loading Arm is preferred when loading / unloading sea-going tanker ships and its capability has been proven with many years of trouble-free operation worldwide.

The B0030 includes a rigid link pantograph balancing system with independent counterweights directly linked to the inboard and outboard arm. This ensures accurate balance throughout all manoeuvring and connecting positions.

The self-supporting design provides not only high safety standards for easy operation, but also lowest possible jetty loads which minimises the cost for the jetty itself.

The advantages compared with hose loading facilities are:

  • Ease of handling
  • Higher availability / flexibility
  • Less manpower
  • Minimum maintenance
  • Maximum operational safety and minimised operational cost (cost of ownership)

The B0030 can be manually or hydraulically operated.

The B0034 design includes a special support frame for the inboard arm and a rigid link pantograph balancing system with independent counterweights directly linked to the inboard and outboard arm. This ensures accurate balance throughout all manoeuvring and connecting positions.

The special design of the inboard arm support structure additionally provides optimum operational safety aspects, low weight of the arm and lowest wind loads imposed to the jetty structure.

The advantages over hose loading facilities are:

  • Ease of handling
  • Higher availability / flexibility
  • Less manpower
  • Minimum maintenance
  • Maximum operational safety and minimised operational cost (cost of ownership)

The B0034 is designed for hydraulic operation and can be fitted with the most sophisticated ancillary equipment.

Emco Wheaton B0300 - Marine Loading Arm

Our B0300 Marine Loading Arm has been designed for any application where it is essential to keep the product pipe consistently the same size for either economical or technical reasons, e.g. cryogenic products down to -168 °C, piggable systems and PTFE-lining.
This design has proven its reliability for many years.

The B0300 design includes a special support structure for the stand post, inboard and outboard arm and separates any mechanical loads imposed to the product pipe, except the dead-weight and internal pressure loads.

Additionally this provides optimum operational safety aspects, low weight of the arm and lowest wind loads imposed on the jetty structure.

Balancing of the arm is achieved by a rigid link pantograph system with independent counterweights directly linked to the inboard and outboard arm.
This ensures accurate balance throughout all manoeuvring and connecting positions.

The advantages over hose loading facilities are:

  • Ease of handling
  • Higher availability / flexibility
  • Less manpower
  • Minimum maintenance
  • Maximum operational safety and minimised operational cost (cost of ownership)

The B0300 is designed for hydraulic operation and can be fitted with the most sophisticated ancillary equipment.
